Dr. Blewett directs the State Health Access Data Assistance Center, funded by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to conduct research and provide technical assistance to states on efforts to measure and monitor health insurance coverage and inform state health policy. Additional research interests include studying the impact of the growing Midwest Latino population on the delivery of health care services; studying the impact of SCHIP implementation; understanding elements of underinsurance and evaluating the future of the safety-net in meeting the needs of the growing number of uninsured.
