Scientists in Aging Research (SAR), is the CoA's first step in organizing basic science researchers who have a common interest in aging studies. SAR members include basic and clinical scientists affiliated with the University of Minnesota and the Veterans Administration.

For more information, contact Dr. Walter Low via e-mail at lowwalt@umn.edu or 612-626-9203.

The goals of the SAR are to:

  1. Increase communication among researchers on aging at the U of M and VA;

  2. Facilitate collaborations and grant applications;

  3. Increase awareness of research within the U of M and VA;

  4. Provide a forum in which clinical researchers on aging can explore possible collaboration with basic researchers; and

  5. Become a significant driving force in the development of a Center for Excellence in Aging Research in the 21st Century.
