oin us for three afternoons to explore how insights from dramatically different sectors of society can enhance the concepts and competencies we need within the public and private spheres of our nation’s health system.

Modern consumers demand excellence in all sectors of our society. They expect error free and ever improving levels of performance, with outcome measures that are ever more transparent and accountable. These pressures strain health leaders’ comfort zones and require developing new competencies and cultures to recognize and reward peak performance.

We can learn from high performance leadership in multiple industries; but only if we keep open minds and stay centered on the needs of patients and consumers. New concepts, new tools and new mindsets from these varied industries can inform innovative approaches to leadership in healthcare. Industry trends and best practices will be discussed from:
Aviation—The challenges of leading teams and making decisions under pressure in cockpits and air traffic control;
Nuclear Power Plants—Leadership in zero-tolerance environments;
Professional Musicians—Techniques for developing talent & teamwork, and managing strong personalities;
Global Health Leadership—Enhancing health system performance internationally.

All sessions are at the Radisson Metrodome Hotel, 615 Washington Avenue SE, Minneapolis, Minnesota
