Ease of navigation and legibility. How easy or hard it is to become acquainted with this website? When you approached it cold, what, if any, problems did you have, if any, in getting to understand how it worked, and to find what you wanted. Our webmaster is also interested in any specific comments about technical aspects such as font choices, colors, and navigational functions.
Content choices. What content is most interesting to you, and what other content you would like to see?
Narrative and tabular summaries. Were the summaries useful to you? Is the level of detail enough, too much, or about right?
Ways of using the website. What kinds of questions would you try to answer from the website? We encourage you to use it to try to answer specific questions that occur to you either about a state or a topic, and let us know whether you could find your answer and how long it took. How do you think you might use this resource going forward? How do you think others will use it?
Innovative practice examples. A section not yet uploaded called “Art of the Possible” will present examples of innovative, individualized nursing home settings that adhere to principles of resident autonomy and community integration. They will flagged under the respective state pages and on the topics to which the innovation applies. We are eager for nominations of facilities to include in this section.
Resource Material. What kind of general resource material, including publications in the public domain, would be useful to add? We are presently planning to organize resources according to topics that are regulated (e.g. quality of life, environment, staffing, etc) and general related topics such as “culture change.” We would welcome nominations of material.
Relevance to resident autonomy. While looking at content, does anything jump out at you regarding how state regulations might enhance or impede resident autonomy, individualization, and quality of life.
Links. How much would you like to see us incorporate links to other websites? Will that be distracting or useful?

Please return to this site regularly and send us your questions, suggestions, and comments via our email address (nhregs@umn.edu) as you get more acquainted with the site.
