The University of Minnesota Rural Health Research Center's mission is to
conduct policy-relevant research that can be disseminated in an
effective and timely manner to help shape the delivery and financing of
rural health services.
Our primary areas of research are:
quality of care in rural areas
including quality measurement, quality improvement and patient safety
issues;
rural health care systems and access to care,
including critical access and other rural hospitals, rural health
networks, and health care workforce issues;
and rural health care financing: rural
issues related to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
